    Pool Balancing help!

Hi! So we just opened our pool 24 hours ago and despite winterizing, the pool was dark green. I started balancing chemicals and today I am getting pH 7.2 FC 5.6 CC 0.4 TA 70 Just added pH up. Water is cloudy, but blue with a hint of green. Shocked earlier this morning when pH was 7.4. Any...

Trying to get these darn chemicals right!

Thanks! Do you think I should use alkalinity down? Do I need to add chlorine today? I know you previously recommended adding enough for 3ppm daily, but I didn't add anything today.

Trying to get these darn chemicals right!

Hey everyone! Here's what I got this morning using the K-2006 kit: pH 7.6 FC 3.8 CC 0 TA 110-120 (between the 2) CYA 37 Please let me know your feedback. Do I need to add more CYA or is this okay? Why is there no CC? Is my FC level okay? What is my FC goal? Thanks in advance!! Lyndsey

Trying to get these darn chemicals right!

Hi everyone!! Thanks so much for the quick replies. I did go ahead and add alkalinity up already and it's currently circulating. I will go ahead and add liquid chlorine and CYA now. So calcium hardness isn't even a factor for above ground pools?? Wow... Frustratedpoolmom - I do not have a...

Trying to get these darn chemicals right!

Help closing pool when new liner is needed - to drain or not to drain...

Hi all! This will be my first year closing my above ground pool and we need a new liner. Is it easier to completely drain the pool and have the new liner put in early next year or close it by leaving water in the pool and winterizing it? To me, it just seems easier to completely drain the...
