    I just switched from a sand filter to cartridge filter because I no longer have anywhere to run the backwash to, I used to pump the water into the wooded lot nextdoor but a new house is going in, and I can't run the water on the lawn (chlorine and grass don't mix) New Hayward filter works better...

    Thank you for your quick reply, I figured as much, but I was outside with my grandson and my wife looking at the moon with my spotting scope and it sure is bright... Well, I think I have gotten my algae problem fixed, all tests results are looking good, I will know in the morning...
