    Pump mount screws, or not??

    I was wondering the same thing after having a pump recently replaced. My previous pump was not bolted down and the new one isn't either.

    Do I need to add DE to filter after lowering water level to waste thru multiport?

    No, you shouldn't have to unless something is seriously wrong with the multiport (bad spider gasket or malfunctioning). When the multiport is set on "waste", water goes in the pump port and exits out the waste port bypassing the filter altogether.
