Well now it appears to be dead. Spa mode does not wake the heater up and the heater control panel is unresponsive. It looks like I need to start with a new control board for the heater.

I agree that I should never have to change the mode on the heater. The control panel should be making the change. The heater started performing this way back in may. Before this, I never touched the control panel on the heater.

Jim fixed me up! I was unaware of the "spillway" feature with screen logic and how it worked. All I need to do now is close the "Spa RT" valve, as Marty suggested, when I get home and I should be good to go.

This seems simple, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this without an actuator on the "Spa RT" valve. If I turn Actuator #1 manually (via the toggle switch), it drains all of the spa water into the pool. I have not seen what happens when I turn Actuator #2 manually.
