Just tested my pool. Results are below. FC - 6.5 CC - 0.5 pH - 7.4 CH - 200 CYA - 30 My concern is the low CH level for my gun nite pool. Should I raise it to recommended levels on pool math calculator? If so, what is the best source to acquire calcium chloride? I would need 25lbs.

I have a bunch of unused trichlor tabs that I was thinking of using to bump up my CYA (currently 30) and as a stop gap while I’m on vacation. Is there any reason this is a bad idea?

Do I need to retest CYA during the slam process or proceed with the original test number?

I do have my test kit and the numbers I gave regarding the CYA was a guess. Thanks for letting me know to round up. I will do that from now on. I started the SLAM process last night. According to my second CYA test, I was just below 50 so I rounded up to 50. I have been following the calculator...

Last year I did as I had a broken seal in my impeller. That CYA level was after the pool company had me add calcium.
