    IntelliCenter Low Salt Notification

It looks like I have this notification configured to trigger. I have never seen it come across despite several low salt episodes. Anyone seen it work? I have seen other notifications work in the past. Todd

IC60 - use cell blank over winter or not?

I have a cell blank from Pentair that I used before I fired up the IC60 last spring for the first time. Would it be a good idea to go ahead and store the IC60 indoors and install the blank now that water temps are too low for generation? If i go that route, is there anything more I need to do...

    Any electricians lurking?

I have a motion sensor light at the middle top of my garage door opening. It's attached to the soffit via an exterior jbox(1). I'd like to move that light 16ft along the soffit to the corner of the garage. Would I be fine using a length of 14/2 Romex, wire-nutted in the existing jbox(1)...

    IC60 status light

Hi all ~ Last evening I turned the cell output down to 0 and added a bag of salt. As an aside, the Android app won't let you go to 0 only as far as 1. The web app allowed you to go 0. Go figure. So just a few minutes ago, I turned up the output on the cell back to where I had it via the web...

    Comms with IntelliCenter out

Hi all ~ We had a couple of power blips this morning relatively back-to-back. Power is on. Access to internet is good. Pump is on. Can't access panel via website or app, local or remote. What is the proper way to manage this situation? Just reboot the IntelliCenter? TIA

    Proper pump for sheers

Hello all ~ We renovated in 2017 and added 3 16" sheer descents driven by a Pentair WhisperFlow 1.5hp. Is there a more appropriate pump to use for this function? Can/should they use a VSP? Since the remodel, we have switched to VS filter pump and its electric usage is miniscule. Would like...

    IC60 and IntelliCenter

Hello all. Should my IC60, that is managed via IntelliCenter, ever have the need to report a flow issue, low-salt indicator or any fault for that matter, does it do so via the IntelliCenter and not just the lights on the cell itself? I guess what I am asking is in a nutshell, does the IC60...

    Lowering TA

I understand that adding MA is the way to lower TA. But do you have to drive PH down to 7.2 or 7.0 and then aereate or will frequent additions of MA over time also lower it? I've added 1.25 gal of MA, 20oz at a time, over the last month and can't seem to get bellow a TA of 120. TIA

    Preparing to install IC60

I have a new in box IC60 to be installed soon. I'm trying to understand what chems I should get inline before I add salt and install. Is managing CSI enough or do I need to worry about the individual levels of PH/TA/CA? My PH/TA have historically been high. 7.8/8 and 120/130. I'm currently...

    Electrical mystery

I had a switch go bad over the weekend. Picked up a new one and went to the panel to turn off the breaker to swap it in. Old panel, circa 1972 is my guess, and not at all clearly labeled. Couldn't find the right breaker to get the power cut to the bad switch. Been in the house a long time...

    Backwash line

Had some work done that included a new backwash line. Noticed that it was travelling uphill from the bottom of the slide valve to where it 90s to the outlet to the sewer. Should I be concerned? Freezing temperatures seems to be a potential issue. TIA

New to IntelliCenter ~ Freeze protection questions

My filter pump and feature pump circuits have freeze protection on. I have seen both work. Now for the questions. They both seem to cycle on and off rather than continuous on. With this current freeze coming to NTX should I run both pumps 24x7 rather than risk an issue with both cycling...

TX freeze and outdoor hose bibs

Just saw a notification from the city to 'Cover pipes and allow outdoor faucets to slowly drip to prevent them from freezing'. Any TX folks leave outdoor hose bibs to drip? We always cover but that precludes allowing them to drip. My guess is that its poorly worded and they mean to drip...
