Hello, I wanted the overhang in back because I thought the top looked more finished and uniform. We didnt wrap the stone around the back because the area behind cant’t be seen from any sitting area. We hang the pool brushes and nets. We also can keep the robot controller behind the wall.

Mine is also 15”, by design. My preference is to be in the water even if I’m on the lounger. I have Solar Brreze too, just purchased and love it. Cleared surface of all bugs(flys/bees) and Petals from our ironwood trees and anything else that doesn’t sink to the bottom. Works well here in AZ, Runs on solar power.
