"Keeping up on it *at least 3-4 x/day* is about the least we suggest to SLAM" >> This is not possible or feasible for me as both myself and my wife work during the day, and i'm on call 24/7 and could be called at at 1AM in the morning and may not get home until 10PM the next day. SO, I guess I...

This evenings readings: Temp: 87F FC: 17 CC: 1 pH: not quite 7.8, but not 7.2 TA: 160 CYA: 40 -------------- I added two jugs (128oz p/jug) of 8.25% bleach yesterday at 11:06AM. Based on pool math, it should have taken my FC to approx 28-29ppm of FC, yet in a day and half it has dropped to...

I agree --- gremlins! No lightning since Friday afternoon storms finished up. Don't recall any power surges during the evening, was up until 3:00AM. I have a 1500W UPS on my computer equipment and it didn't alert me to any dips or spikes on my electrical system. No surge on the SWG...

SLAM seems to be going slow, but this is probably just my imagination due to the very difficult black algae spores on the bottom of the pool not wanting to come loose or die. Friday Night -- - Vacuumed Pool - Checked chemistry of pool - Added 1 Gal 8.5% bleach to get back to 22-24 FC -...

Yes, I just checked the filter pressure and it is running high. I was curious about that the other day when I added the CYA, as I had read in here that washing the filter would lose some CYA. So thinking ahead I purchased 8 lbs of it knowing I would have to clean the filter during this...

Thanks Yippee. This morning I added 2 gallons of bleach and then this evening I added another 2 gallons after I swept the pool and scrubbed it. I could still see a lot of algae on the floor that needed a good steel kicking. I'll retest the water in about an hour or so to get new readings...

OK, so this evening I have added 4lb of Clorox stabilizer into my skimmer basket socks, and 56fl oz of muriatic acid to bring down the pH levels. Should I also add chlorine at the same time? If so, how many gallons of 8.25%? Or wait tell tomorrow morning? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Sunday night I added a gallon of bleach. It got burned up today from the sun all day. It didn't get overcast until late this afternoon. I have 12 gallons on my porch ready to put in if you guys say to. I guessed at the 9 on the PH, as it appears way above 8.2 pH picture >> Shared album - S...

Greetings TFP Members. I'm new to TFP and a 2yr pool owner and didn't realize how troubling a pool can be when you rely on a pool maintenance company to maintain your pool --- never again. So, with that said, I have been reading the TFP site as much as possible on how to maintain and "fix"...
