I'm still looking for suggestions. I'm going to go buy another diaphragm just in case the one I replaces is defective. That would be the cheapest route. If that doesn't work I think next will be shopping for another cleaner.

Zea3, I have mostly small plant debris, leaves. I've replaced the diaphragm due to previous cleaner symptoms not moving which usually worked. In this case it did not and ended up with multiple other issues that I have now corrected one by one. So I'm back to a partial non working cleaner.

Yes the cleaner works in backwash or drain to waste. The pump basket still has some air but not as much. Since it works during backwash I assume the hose should be ok? I haven't ran the pump for the week but I just turned it on to test and it sounds louder than normal. Not smooth like wobble...

Thanks for replying UD. I ordered two sections but I need to order another weight. I did play around with the flow valve some. I opened it up and it would do a partial up the side wall and when I almost close it does go to the top and sucks air. Either way it stays on the perimeter.
