    Raised Wall Functionality & Popularity

We pushed the pool all the way to our utility easement. Couldn't put decking on top of utility lines, so raised wall. If yard was bigger I wouldn't have built it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    New pool water test results

The PH has been going down the past 2 weeks. I haven't added anything to raise it, just been turning on the fountains. A day or 2 later the PH gets back to 7.5-7.6. We have gotten about 6" of rain over the last 2 weeks. If that means anything. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Spotters

Our pool was finished a few weeks ago. We also had left over tile we used to outline the steps and edges. We didn't get charged for it and it wasn't planned in the contract. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    New pool water test results

That's pretty much what was happening. I was adding liquid chlorine after work and 24hrs later the FC was 0. I did find my pentair chlorinator was air locked. I bleed the air and retubed the water injection from the bottom to the top. I have 35lbs of tablets, so I'll use those to help the CYA...

    New pool water test results

My pool was filled 7-15-16. I just got my test kit K-2006C today. I live in Houston so the sun is brutal. Pool is full sun 10hrs a day. I'm trying to figure out if I should raise the CYA or wait and use the clorox 99 tablets I bought before I found this site. I have a pentair auto chlorine thing...

    How to smooth areas underwater?

He said an air powered sander. Meaning powered by air from a compressor. Sounds like a decent idea to smooth the rough edges. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    How to smooth areas underwater?

My pool was just completed a week ago. We have 4 bar stools and a ledge that over hangs. I asked the PB the same question. He called the pebble tec installers and he told me they don't put it under tables or ledges. For me it's not a problem because your legs aren't that high. I just wanted to...

    Pool net install

We are having a Katch a kid pool net installed. Also having cool deck sprayed on the concrete. Should I have the net installed before the deck is sprayed? The net people have to drill into the concrete to install the anchors for the net. But I don't want them damaging the the spray deck. Anyone...

    Help with Travertine coping.

I am going to check with him tomorrow about using larger pieces on the columns. Maybe the installer can do a better job if they don't have to cut as many pieces... Glad your pool is looking good [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Help with Travertine coping.

I think your right Frank, I'm gonna have to live with the grout color. I think it will look worse trying to change it now. My wife and I walked the perimeter and blue taped the real bad joints. Going to have those tiles removed and reinstalled straight this time. Also both colums getting total...

    Help with Travertine coping.

They are going to tear the tops of the colums completely off and redo. Because the pieces are so crooked. Grind out every mortar joint on the pool so they will all be the same. Sorry maybe what I wrote was confusing. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Help with Travertine coping.

Yes we will be picking the color. A bit worried that it could end up looking worse. Also there is no way they can get it out of all the pores. They can fill the pores with the new grout but still going to see some dark spots. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Help with Travertine coping.

Meet with the pool builder today. He is going to redo the tops of the 2 colums. He agreed the grey grout highlights the poor workmanship. He said they can grind out the grout and put in a grout that will match the tiles. They will grout the pores with the new grout and it should hide most of the...

    Help with Travertine coping.

It's dry or cured. In 2 of the pictures it's wet from washing it with the hose. The picture of the column with the crooked tiles is dry. It's lighter when dry, kinda grayish. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Help with Travertine coping.

Thanks for the reply. Using a darker color to avoid it looking dirty makes sense. I just haven't seen any pictures of travertine with dark grout. I was kind of shocked when i came home and seen the pores full of dark grout. Is using a dark color common? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Help with Travertine coping.

We are having a pool built and are concerned with the grout they used on the coping. We have no experience with travertine but it sure seems like they should have used a grout that was a similar color. It looks dirty and has dark grout in all the pores. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm...
