Well it originally was a 3/4 hp which was amping at 15 amps. I downsized the impeller to a 1/2 hp which brought down the amping to 12. I have also played with the return eyeball sizes. I have removed it completely leaving the 1 1/2" exit no change in amps, 1" eyeball amps go up to 13, 3/4"...

I have been trying to get this figured out. I have a 15x30 soft sided pool 13,500 gallons, new 1/2 hp whisper flo (110), waterway fc100 cartridge filter. This was here before I got the house with the exception of the new pump. I over heats in about 1 hour or so and is over amping at 12 amps...

Just got the impeller today to match the motor. It started very well. I thought problem was fixed when 15 minutes later it shut off again. I also removed the 3/4" eyeball from the return and filters psi drops drasticlly to 10 psi. It will also run for 45 minutes this way before shutting down.

Ok plate on just wetend is 3/4hp and 1.67 sf totaling 1. 25 sfhp. The new motor is 3/4 hp with a 1.30 sfhp totaling .97. I would need a wf2 or wfe2 1/2 hp impeller. I also should mention that i have only 20' of head with a waterway fc100 cartridge filter 1.5" plumbing, 1 return,1 skimmer.

its 115/220 and is wired at 110. Correction on my above post i would just need a 1/2 hp impeller not 1 hp?
