I tried what you recommended with no improvement in the flow / output. So your next recommendation is to pull the pump and make sure the impeller isn't clogged or anything?

Thanks for the response... so it's possible whenever they changed the sand in the past, they were able to get the wrong part to work for 6 years..... but I broke it on re-install?

My multiport valve fits inside the filter pipe... the height just doesn't reach the valve unless I put sand under it ( too short) I didn't have any sand issues until I recently changed the sand.

Pile of sand I pushed to one spot to get out soon.... I had pool in recirculate for last day as I just did a vitamin c treatment for metal stains. Was trying to figure out sand issue before returning it to filter mode and getting water balanced. Chasing my tail with this pool....

I did backwash and sight glass cleared up... then rinsed and sight glass never seemed to clear up. Maybe I didn't back wash long enough?
