    pH during SLAM??

Hello fellow TFPers, I've maintained my pool for 2 seasons using the TFP method. I noticed an algae outbreak yesterday on the steps probably being a dead area. The return was not positioned correctly which has since been corrected. The pool is clear. So I started the SLAM process using...

    Spreading the Good Word...About TFP

So true! My Dad used to say "Half the world screws up stuff and the other half fixes it". I'm pretty sure TFPr's (us) are on the fix it side and PS's are on the screw it up side.

    Pool Math........The App

Leebo, You are the first developer I've seen to apologize for a beta boo-boo. I've run betas where the app blew up, lost data and worse...so no big deal...it was a beta app. The beta concept worked.....losing data was a flaw uncovered, developers will fix it and move on. So keep up the great work!

    Partial draining of pool

Have you tested the CH of your pool fill water? My fill water in North Texas has 100 ppm of CH of which I was suprised. (Before TFP, I did a partial drain and refill without checking my fill water CH and like bdavis said, CH climbed up rather quickly. My CH is 425 now and with pool fill water...

Backwash Hayward 6020 with Hayward SP722D slide valve??

I back washed and had 1 psi after back wash and prior to adding DE. After adding 6lbs of DE, the psi settled at 17psi at 3100 rpm and 9.5psi at normal running speed of 2350 rpm. New filter material was installed in March. Am I in the zone?

Thanks for the clarification Gene. And yep, SP722-D is the top nut. New grids and DE were installed March 1st. PSI was recorded at 13 and now it's 21. I think it's got a few more hours till a complete cleaning.

Hello all, This is my first post so thanks for taking the time to read it and offer advise. I bought a house with a 16,000 gal, SWG, VSP pump and have been lurking around this site for a week. This was a divorce and the pool was poorly maintained for 9 months because Mr. Hubby was booted from...

Arrived: From Pool Store to Trouble Free Pool

Hi TFP'ers, We recently bought a SWP 16K gallon Pebble-Tec pool. It appears pool maintenance was minimal. Calcium chunks on the tile, streaks on the bottom of the pool, etc. So I head to the local pool store with sample and enter the water test, buy chemicals loop. Two weeks ago, samples were...
