    Hello All I've been thonking about swaping out my pump for a Variable speed pentair in order to cut energy consuption. My question, How will this effect my chlorine generation on the SWG. I assume i would need to run my pump longer in order to make up for it, or do i just raise the % of chlorine?

    Yes - Im adding new DE each time I back wash. In fact I add slightly less then the equipment calls for. Im adding 5 lbs. for a DE60 which calls for 6 lbs. Can it be I need to clean my grids after oinly 1 week?
