What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

Thank you @1poolman1 and @oldprophet for the help. I noticed the lower well has room for two limit switches (as shown below) and the upper well has room for only one. I ordered 1 x 135F switch (for upper) and 1 x 150F switch (for lower) but was I supposed to buy 2 x 150F switches for lower well...

What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

Ok I think I figured it out. The lower retainer plate is missing and the other was not even secured so I removed it and noticed there's some kind of rubber backing to it. Anyway, it's not looking good since these parts are not available anywhere :(

What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

Thank you so much for the help. Looking at the first pic I posted, is the manifold the big black plastic piece (at top of photo) that the pipes go into, or is it on the other side of that black plastic piece (inside the chassis)? I need to find out asap whether I need the retainer plates since...

What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

Update: I ordered new limit switches and the wiring harness. Considering the existing harness was just dangling outside the chassis I have no idea where to install the new limit switches. Any ideas?

What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

Thank you all for the help! I have no idea who jumpered the connectors or when it happened but I guess it's a good thing the heater is rarely used! @1poolman1 I noticed the high-limit switch assembly you suggested is for LRZM heaters but mine is a LT heater. Are you sure it will work for my...

What are these jumpered connectors on the outside of my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater?

I'm having intermittent issues with my Jandy Laars LT400N-L heater. It always turns on but runs for a random amount of time before quiting -- each time throwing either a 'Pressure Switch" error or a "Hi Limit" error. I searched the forum and found this post so I decided to inspect the limit...

This morning the spa turned on instead of the pool

I pulled both actuators apart and lubed everything up. Fingers crossed!

This morning the spa turned on instead of the pool

Hi @mknauss thanks for the help. I removed the thumb screw, handle, and the 4 screws, and as soon as I started wiggling the cover to remove it the valve started working before I even had the cover off. Weird, huh? Anything I should look at while the cover is off?

This morning the spa turned on instead of the pool

I double checked all the program groups and everything is good, controller time is correct, etc. Any idea why the spa turns on but the pool won't? Looking at the equipment I only see one valve actuator turn (the one close to pool pump) when I cycle through various modes (pool, spa, spa fill...

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Thanks all for your help. The V-Green motor has a wattage meter on it but I'm currently not at my family's place to play with the settings. Do any of you know whether the watts used vs RPM is linear? For example, does 1500 RPM use half the watts vs 3000 RPM?

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Thank you so much @Jimrahbe and @mas985 for continuiing to help. @Jimrahbe you say you run your setup at 1200 RPM "most of the time" and @mas985 you mentinoed to use the "lowest speed pssobile". Ok, I can now finally wrap my head around what you're suggesting. Just curious, do you both run...

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Hey @mas985 thanks for the input. I'm trying to calculate how long the pump needs to run & at what rpm(s) so the pool is correctly filtered.

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Thanks for the input @Texas Splash and @mguzzy . I'm going to make an assumption that the new 2.7HP vs motor will move about 80 gal per minute at full speed 3450 rpm. Based on my assumption, here's what I'm thinking (the values have been rounded): RPM GPM GPH HOURS GAL PER 24 HOURS 3450 80...

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Hi @Texas Splash thx for offering to help. I just installed the new motor for a family member that lives in the greater Los Angeles area. The motor feeds a chlorine pool (not salt water) and they also use a robo cleaner vac (I believe it's called "The Pool Cleaner"). When you say to run the pump...

Why is calculating run-time for my new VS motor so difficult?

Just replaced a 1-speed motor with a vs motor but kept the same pump. After a lengthy chat session I was able to get absolutely nowhere with INYOpools regarding how long I should run the motor to filter the pool. Pool is approx. 25,000 US gallons. Here is the oringal motor + pump: New motor...

Thanks again for the help. This is the pump that they recommended: V-Green ECM27SQU

Will this setup work with a 2 speed motor?

Ok that makes sense. Will they need the rouond flange connector like in the link you provided? The reason I ask is because the motor>pump connector looks square-ish to me but that could just be my inexperience talking. Here's a better pic. Square or round?

Will this setup work with a 2 speed motor?

Hi @ajw22 thanks for offering to help. Can you elaborate a little on your recommendation other than the obvious energy savings? Is the VS motor integrated into their current setup more simply than a 2 speed motor or do you recommend it for different reasons?

Will this setup work with a 2 speed motor?

I'm trying to help out a family member that needs to replace their current pump motor. Their current setup looks to be using a 1 speed 2HP Pentair pump that filters a pool with about 25000 gallons capacity. Can they simply buy a 2 speed 2HP motor and install it as a drop-in replacement? I...
