I've contacted the PB and plaster company, and both basically say "oh no problem, that's all normal". The PB has been pretty bad to work with through the whole process and I don't entirely trust them. That's why I posted here - these issues don't seem normal to me so I'm looking for a second...

We just finished our new pool and had "upgraded" the deep end from 8 feet to 9 feet deep. But now that it's finished the deep end is "only" 8'7" at best. I measured with a PVC pipe that I marked with inches. Given our spa over flow, the waterline can not be increased any further. How accurate...

We have overspray of the quartzscape on the tile all around the pool. Somehow the spa turned out really nice/clean. But there is ~120 feet of pool waterline and it all looks like this. Is this to be expected? It seems really sloppy to me. Or am I being overly picky. I think it can be scraped...

I'm filling my new pool with water today and if I was doing it again I would try owner builder. My pool builder was average/sucked, and I'm guessing that is how most are.

9 feet deep. Not super deep and same as the pool I had in AZ growing up. It looked really deep before the gunite was in. PB is "Zier Pools" (jury is still out on them...) and gunite crew that the PB hired was "HP Gunite". Seemed/seems pretty good to me and it's all they do. Said they spray 1-2...

No patio/hardscaping included in that quote. Just the pool and coping. We have a landscaper doing the rest of the yard that will be putting the hardscape in (and patio, firepit, some stairs, grass, irrigation, plants, etc, etc). -Steve
