    Pump Not Working

My guess is that there was too much air in the lines. I just opened up the bleeder valve and released all the air until water came out and now it is working.

Ideal Levels & pH Always High

Re: Ideal Levels & pH Always High There appears to be sand settling on the steps of the pool occasionally and wondering if that could be the impact of dissolving of grout due to low CH. How would I know?

    Spa high pressure (35psi)

I just cleaned my 48 sq ft DE filter on Sunday and my pool pressure reads 15 psi (before cleaning 19 psi) and when I change the discharge and suction to the spa the pressure increases to 35 PSI. I am concerned this is too high. I took off all the jets in the spa and stuck a coathanger in about...

    Cleaning DE Filter

Could I put the top of the filter back on and then put multiport valve to backwash or waste and run the pump for 1-2 minutes then turn off the pump and take off the lid? I'm realizing that there would be lots of air without the filter grids. The grids are soaking in TSP now and then will do...

    Cleaning DE Filter

What do I do with the water and DE in the bottom of the filter? There may be a drain plug, yet it's up against the side of the house and then DE would go all over the place.

New to Chemical Testing / FC not registering

I don't think CYA dropped that much in that timeframe. It's probably that I'm new to the testing. I would expect 50-60 is the current range and the last reading was overstated. no clue the FC level as never turned colorless

We have had lots of rain in the Houston area recently. Would be the pool maintenance company intentionally put high FC levels prior to lots of rain?
