That is what my overflow is like. The end of the drain pipe goes verticle outside the pool deck to the height of the water level you want it to be. Look around for a pvc pipe coming up out of the ground around your pool.

It actually dropped to 0 CC by dusk. I did leave the cover off overnight though. In a few days I may try it again and see if it makes a difference. I'm thinking of laying it out and washing it just in case. It is only about 6 months old.

The cover is near 5 months old and clean. I used it from October until Christmas and took it off until Mid Febuary when I started heating the pool again. It was kept in my shed out of the sun. I'll try leaving it off at night and see what happens. Thanks

Thanks, I did use pool math. My pool is free form so how much it holds is a best guess by the builder + or - 500 gals. I'll wait a few days to recheck.

I see posts that it takes a week for stabilizer to show in tests. The stabilizer I use is dissolved in less than 8 hours. Wouldn't the test be accurate the next day? I run the pump for 24 hours as well after I add stabilizer.
