Smooth out liner wrinkles after leak

I had a leak in my in ground pool over this past winter in the shallow end that emptied that section. This resulted in stretching the liner in spots and creating wrinkles. How should I safely stretch this back in place?

    Low flow

Yeah must be. I've never had an algae problem in the 9 years of pool ownership, so this was a new experience for me. Seems like a no brainer now.

    Low flow

Yes, I think you're correct. I just didn't think it was bad enough to cause an issue. It's cloudy but i can see the bottom of the pool. That must be it... hopefully.

    Low flow

i just sprayed the fins down with my hose. I added a full bag like I normally do. The box of DE i buy has 4-6 individual bags so no measuring is required. I should also clarify that I have a minimal algae problem I'm battling as I get my CYA and FC up to snuff. Maybe the algae is clogging my...

    Low flow

Hi, my filter isn't pushing water like it should be. At max speed (3000) on my pump, it's expelling water from my jets at a speed akin to a 1500 speed. When set to recirculate, everything is normal. I took apart my filter, cleaned the fins, added new DE and it was fine for a day. Now it's...

    Dolphin Nautilus tune up?

Anyone else's Dolphin Nautilus not doing quite the job your accustomed to? Mine worked flawlessly for 3 years and now I need to run it 2 or 3 times to get similar results. I'm considering the replacement of a few minor parts, but not sure if anyone else has insight into this issue. Thanks.

    Outdoor Lamppost Lighting

ok thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of running additional landscape lighting and as an amateur I don't understand why we even bother with low voltage considering you have to do deal with the transformer. Something to research I guess.

    Outdoor Lamppost Lighting

Hi, I'm interested in installing a few lamposts around my pool, about 15' from the edge of the pool. Does this have to have a low voltage power supply? I've done some basic residential wiring in the past and planned to run a line to my current light switch for my underwater lights or have a...

    Smelly pool skimmer

Greetings, I cleaned out my skimmers today and they're smelling pretty nasty. I've had clear, comfortable water all summer long. Recent tests results are low. Not sure why my chlorine is so high, as I haven't added any additional chlorine aside from what's produced by the SWG. Though, my SWG was...

    Newbie pool closing

I did indeed close the main drain valve, but only after reinserting the plug. Seems obvious now that you describe closing the valve rather than fiddling with trying to quickly screw back in the plug. I will look into acquiring an additional plug. I took in the entire pump in today so maybe I...

    Newbie pool closing

Well that did the trick. I blew out the skimmer line first for good measure, then easily blew out the main drains after a few seconds. I let it run for a few minutes, detached the compressor and quickly reinserted the pump plug to maintain an air pocket. Going to place a gallon of antifreeze...

    Newbie pool closing

Thanks for the feedback. I will check to see if there is a union and/or check pump housing basket. Do you have a link for what I would need regarding a compressor attachment? I have a compressor, but would probably need to buy the fitting.

    Newbie pool closing

    - - - Updated - - - Indeed it is a bit confusing. I wrote in a rush. 1. yes 2. I left it on filter accidentally. It didn't move while i was gone. 3. yes 4. a large shop vac. First from the gizmos. Then once those were cleared, I focused on main drain. This is where I'm encountering problems...

    Newbie pool closing

My apologies for posting here, but I'm getting quite a bit frustrated with the line clearing process. Hopefully the attached picture will suffice in helping those visualize what I'm trying to describe. I consulted with my pool company, pool store, and youtube and I'm pretty darn confused. I...

Negative. House will be empty. A bit of a conundrum here. I guess I'll SLAM the best I can over the 24 hours and raise CYA after I get back. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Noob CYA question

Newbie pool chemist here. I bought the TF100 kit and obtained the following readings: FC - 8.5 CC - 1.5 TC - 10 TA - 130 CYA - 30 PH - 7.8 I'm currently battling a pesky green algae problem that appears every few days or so, especially if I skip brushing for a few days. I'm concerned because...

    Noisy pump

Well, I took apart the pump but was unable to remove part 10 from part 14. I was able to more closely inspect the impeller but was unable to remove the impeller itself to see if there was anything lodged behind it. I decided to put everything back together again and hope for the best, and sure...

Do you think I should maybe swab a brush around deep into the impeller before going through the trouble of breaking the pump down?
