    Pump running hot

    I have a Hayward prowerflow matrix 1.5 horsepower pump for an above ground pool. It is taking in air as the basket doesn't completely fill with water. The motor also seems to be running a little hot. Not sure what the problem is.

    Water leaking around skimmer hose connection

    A small amount of water leaks from the skimmer hose connection when the pump is off but stops when the pump is on. The pump doesn't completely prime . What could be the problem? Any ideas?

    My Hayward pool pump won't completely prime. I hear water moving at the top of the filter. I can't find any leaks. Any ideas?
