    2006 Sundance Bahia FL1 code

FL1 code flashing. Circulation pump works well and flow valve opens and closes as it should. Pump 1 (2 speed) hums but doesn't move water. It's not seized. Troubleshooting yielded no results. Called tech and he recommended new board and replace pump for $1200. Ouch! Obviously I'm looking...

    muratic acid question

Good morning, I received my 2 gallons of muratic acid. It appears to be a construction grade, designed for cleaning tiles. There is nothing on it about pool use or % or active ingredients. Is this going to be ok to lower my pH? I don't want to add anything without checking with the experts...

    hot tub question

Good morning, I clean and disinfect 2 hot tubs. We use bromine. When draining/refilling or topping off we use non-chlorinated water. Today, I used a chlorinated water source (<1ppm) and the water turned amber... almost yellow, but more golden. Is this what happens when chlorine and bromine...

    Chlorine logistics

Good morning, When (if) I get my cya down to 50ish, I want to experiment with this process. I can get a 53 gallon drum of 12.5% liquid chlorine for $193. It doesn't come with a dispenser, so I'll have to rig something. Any ideas are welcome. The state laws don't restrict hand feeding. This...

    cya chart

Good morning experts, Everything I've ever read ( on the side of bottles, mainly ) advises to not re-enter pool if the chlorine levels exceed 5 ppm. Yet the cya chart advises a fc level of 7.0 with a cya level of 60. What to do? Thanks, Mike

    commercial pool

The articles in pool school reference residential pools. Do the same rules apply to commercial pools? We are open 24/7 and I'd love to convert to this method of care. I'm just concerned about the disclaimer. Also, is there a sub-forum on this site dedicated to commercial pool care? Thanks, Mike

    Testing the test kit

Good Morning, Cloudy water, high chlorine use, read pool school, tested cya (off the map high), diluted pool water over past week, pool clear, fc still zero, cya (with 50% diluted sample) 200.... oh yeah, cannot close pool to slam. Stopped using stabilized pucks and have been adding 65%...
