After a few weeks of traveling, I came home to a green very messy pool. The pump broke. I am wondering if it would be easier to empty the pool, clean it, and add fresh water instead of dealing with a long recovery process. What is your opinion?

Right now the pump is setup full speed 3450 rpms from 12 pm to 4 pm and 1750 rpms the rest of the day/night. I am assuming it will be like this for the first month after opening. What will be good setting/schedule for the pump on the pool?
