    Houston Texas pool

it has been 100 or more an average. My daily bleach went from 1/2 bottle to 1 bottle every day to keep it up above 4 every day. I don't see any reason why the chlorine would dissolve as the temperature goes up. Unless the suns rays are just that more strong. Just curious if there is...

Testing CYA Taylor Kit - problems with the read

I understand the instructions about putting drops in until you don't see the black dot. But . . . does 'not seeing the black dot' mean that it is really hard to see it or absolutely cannot see it. Because if you try real real hard, you can still kind of see it. This absolutely cannot see it...

    Killing yellow algae

OK guys. I am changing this portion of my pool care to this thread as it no longer has to do with the electrical usage of my pump. I tested my water for the first time and I got: OK guys. I am ready to get serious about getting rid of this yellow algae as the weather in houston is warming up...

Pool Pump Electricity Usage - Is this normal?

Bought a house last April. My best estimate for my energy costs per month to run the pool pump is $110 per month. It is a hayward pump single speed. I could post the brand and model and hp but I don't know how relevant that is to thisi post. I don't have any details on it as to how old it is...
