I've had enough of paying to keep my pool up, we rarely used it and I plan to rent this house and don't want to have to deal with the pool or charge the tennants either. I've looked high and low for a way to just forget about the pool without destroying it, and I've not found any existing...

So it is going to take 2-3 weeks to get my replacement parts for my pump. What can I do to rig up something temporary until then? Pool is starting to need cleaning. I have a sump pump, maybe somehow use that?

I recently replaced my ancient noisy pressure pump with a new PBR-40 that runs my Polaris pool cleaner. It was working fine until I pulled the pool filter to clean it. Now the pressure pump isn't really working, it gets big surges. I pulled the cleaner hose and removed the pressure regulator...
