I am getting bubbles on the returns to me pool on low speeds. I see air in strainer basket when running low speeds. I'm assuming that's my reason for bubbles in the returns. Is this normal behavior on the Hayward vsp pump?

Debating nat gas, or a heat pump. Gas meter is only about 30 to 40 feet from where heater would go. I had a heat pump up in NY, because we had no Nat gas. It worked ok, but was jealous of my neighbor that could heat his pool quickly with his gas heater. Thoughts of which to chose?

Opened my pool here in NY last week. Water was clean, no algae. Just yesterday I started seeing mosquitoes flying just along the top of the water. There's a ton of them. I have never seen this. Any ideas? All my chlorine levels are fine. Not sure what's up.
