    Any way to pump water off cover back into pool?

    We live in the country with a VERY old well pump so normally every year I have pool water trucked in to the tune of $250+ to fill up the pool. This year there is quite a bit of water on the cover and wondering if anyone has successfully pumped the water off their cover back into the pool...

    Pump run time, daytime vs nighttime

    Just picked up a dusk to dawn timer for my AGP for when I'm on vacation (normally control power via breaker box in garage). Just occured to me that it will be running for 8hrs during the NIGHT, not the day, while I'm gone...is this a significant issue? :roll:

    Looking good so far!

    Just pulled off the winter cover (our first opening, was installed last May) and besides the water being about 6" lower than when we drained it down last fall and some very white earthworms on the bottom, it's beautifully clear...

    Is there such a thing as pure chlorine pucks?

    Asking because I have a couple of long vacations this summer and pre-planning ( live in country and no one to dose pool while I'm gone). Would rather not use the pucks with fillers if I don't have to. I see Sam's Club has some th at are 95% I believe but I don't need a 50# tub. Thanks! :-D

    Question 're: how to measure using new concentrated bleach

    At Sam's and looking at their 3pk of Clorox...states on box that the new 121oz bottle is equal to the old 182oz bottle. When using pool calculator, do I use 121 or 182? Can't wait to start my BBB adventure next week! :-)

    Leave skimmer cover on when winterizing?

    I know the winter cover does not go around the skimmer to prevent damage but does the plastic skimmer cover go back on top? The reason I ask is because the wind is blowing in through the skimmer opening and under the cover. This is our first year of winterizing so we have the brand new winter...
