    Heater causing increase in pH

With everything else in balance I just don't see why simply running my pool water through the Coates 11kw heater increases the pH so dramatically. To investigate the problem further we tested our tap water which is filtered well water. The pH is fine in cold tap water but goes up to 8 in hot...

Small pool weird readings comparing machine to dip strip

So in the continuing saga, our reading for machine test vs dip strip test (and I still have not been in the pool yet because of these readings) Free Chlorine was way high, we set the SWCG way down, now its reading low on machine 3.3 and dip strip 2.8. Machine and test strip readings are...

New variable speed pump won't prime...

Starting up our new pool equipment for the first time. Sta-Rite 1.5hp variable speed pump and Pentair C&C 150cc filter. Problem is the pump doesn't seem to be moving water. So is Sta-Rite a good pool pump? As good as Pentair? Dealer says identical just black instead of beige with...

Moved to Agree to Disagree Forum -- TFP Mod Does anyone have experience with the EcoSmarte copper titanium ion water purification system? First indoor fiberglass salt pool

Hi Deb Driesen here. While we've had inground and above ground vinyl liner pools over the years, this will be our first fiberglass indoor pool and we want to have a salt pool (SWCG). In previous pools we used Baquacil with good outcomes. Our new indoor pool will be just a small 12'x8'x4'6"...

    Small indoor heated therapy pool

I've ordered a fiberglass therapy pool 8'x12'x4'6" to be indoors. Is UV light purification worthwhile and is a SWCG the way to go or just chlorine? Thanks in advance, Deb
