My AquaRite SWG, which is new, shows as the instant salinity - nothing. A minus sign with no number. The check salt light is red and the inspect cell light is on. The actual salt salt in the pool is 3100 ppm. I think the equipment is faulty. Does that sound right?

I have a newly installed in-ground pool with a cage. Will I need a supplemental skimmer? If so, is there one that is recommended for catching small bugs and any other small things that make it passed the screen? Thanks very much- Maria
