I have filter and pump 5 ft above the surface of the pool (I bought the house with this already that way). It is a 1.5 HP Century motor. The pump runs dry for 1 hour before pumping water through the filter. Every time I shut the pump off, restarting becomes a big chore. Please provide your advise.

The hose on my Polaris is coming off very frequently. Is there a way to lower booster pump pressure?
