    Digging next to a filled inground pool

    Can I safely dig a ~ 2'x2'x3' deep hole next to my filled inground pool without concern about compromising the pool wall (hydrostatic pressure)? See pictures...pail lid where I would like to dig. My plan is to install laminar jets using the water supply from a leaky waterfall. Thanks, Bill
