So we opened the new pool in the last couple of weeks, and so far the water has been ultra clear by me measuring TCs daily and adding trichlor tabs that came with the pool when the TC level gets low. First tests with my new TF-100 show everything being close to recommended values, except CYA...

We have a gate on the fence, and a french door that exits the living room into the fenced pool area. I'd like to have an alarm that sounds inside the house if either of these is opened. Wireless sensors would be best, and would need a pass through function for each. Any suggestions?

I've noticed from some of the pictures here, and also looked on haywards website, that their newer sand filters have a one piece body. Other than backwashing, how are these filters cleaned, or the sand replaced?
