Im going to get a pentair solar valve. Im going to need to redo my wiring and scheduling on the pump and figure out when i dont need to run.

Pooldv, what model valve do you have? If a leaky valve us used, as mentioned above there will be a cooling effect if I run the pump 24/7. I have the same panels and SWCG as you do. Whats your pump schedule like?

So do they need to drain down? What if I dont have the bypass or leaky valve. Is there an issue leaving water in the panel?

They use a mechanical ratchet relay that clicks into a specific spot each pulse they get. You would need to either try pushing air in directly at the switch or put a jumper across the air switch momentarily to get the relays to ratchet to the next step {assuming it isnt a bad relay}

Can you use a heat exchanger off the solar panels so you don't have to put cool pool water into the panel, it would use the primary water already in the loop.

When you select a color, do you hear the relay clicking on and off in the control panel?

Bigger issue is the heater being directly under your windows. Potential for ingress of CO. Also looks like a combustion fan for your furnace is there. Might not be good sucking the combustion gas into your furnace.

Is it a pressure switch that your refering to? How do you turn the heater on/off now? You might need the optional remote cable for the pump to interlock it to the heater. You can create schedules right on the pump the 1,2,3 buttion then using the cable, tie that to your heater so when it calls...

Your going to need something to control the on/ off cycle of the swcg. I would highly recomend at least an easytouch 4. Assuming your using pentair led lighting as well, this will control the lighting color, pump speed, swcg etc
