What signal is a Pentair VSF using from the panel to turn on/off?

Lots of reasons... The screen and buttons on pump are clunky and the buttons/interface aren't the best. Kasa wifi app is about as easy as it gets. I use my sheer as my main return, but I like to turn it off when its windy so it doesn't blow everywhere. I don't want to walk to my pump every...

What signal is a Pentair VSF using from the panel to turn on/off?

Trying to remotely turn on/off a Pentair VSF 011056 pump with a wifi 120v switch. I have the cannon plug/pigtail wire that came with the pump. On a typical setup with automation and a panel, is it just a simple 120v trigger that turns the pump on/off? Or does it step the voltage down for the...

New Build - Las Vegas NV - Owner/Builder

Many reasons - Kasa app is much more user friendly than the screen on the pump. I usually run my sheer as a return, and it's nice to turn it off via phone if it's windy outside. It's easier to sync the Kasa controlled SWG with the app. Curious, why was my thread moved? It seems like when a new...

New Build - Las Vegas NV - Owner/Builder

I have a 011056 VSF and I'd like to turn it on and off remotely but I don't have Pentair automation. I can use a wifi or bluetooth switch, so I'd essentially have a 110v trigger wire. Is there an input terminal direct to the pump that will turn it on/off? Thanks!

    Niche vs Nicheless lights

Thank you for the info. I'm just finishing up my build and used your advice for my lights. How are you controlling your 220v with a Kasa? Are you using a relay? Thanks

Well, we have a pool!! Got our pre-plaster inspection on Wednesday, then plaster Saturday 4/15. That puts us at 11 weeks since we broke ground! The weather was perfect for plaster - 78 degrees and no wind. We started filling it Saturday afternoon and it was full by 230am on Sunday. Total...

    New pool looks old

You're suggesting shotcrete, tile, plaster, fill pool with water, then decking last? First I've heard of that order.

Big day tomorrow... All forms are up! Weather forecast looks great for a pour - 70 degrees, no wind, no rain. Should be a happy crew! Umbrella holders in place, gas line, electrical, landscape lights all ran as well.
