    Surface debris solution

Thank you for your advise. I will do a bit more reading and see if the robot cleaner is a viable option or not. I do see one of the holes (that's what I call them), which has screw threads on them but I it had no suction when the pump was on. I also just have one pipe going into the pump and...

    Surface debris solution

Here is a major update and as per name here I'm a total newbie when it comes to taking care of the pool. It seems like there was a weir door there. It was 8 3/8" wide and 3 inch tall. It was disintegrating and it seems like half a door had broken off sometime ago. I removed the cleaner, put...

    Surface debris solution

Thank you. That seems like the perfect solution. Now I'm wondering if running it for 8 hours a day at 2200 RPM necessary?

    Surface debris solution

I like this idea. I don't like the idea of having to insert it every other day but I think this is an ideal solution. I can't believe how much I've learnt in 2 weeks here. I should have started taking care of my pool myself 6 years ago instead of relying on my pool guy. Thank you.

    Surface debris solution

I suppose I should get one installed. How will it work with the pool cleaner hooked to the suction in the skimmer?

    Surface debris solution

Hello, I have Hayward Phoenix pool cleaner which does a good job of getting rid of all the debris which has sunk to the bottom of the pool. I run the 2.6HP Pentair pump at 2200RPM for 8 hours everyday for my 13000 gallon pool. I do not get too much of the large debris except when the gardener...

SPA/Pool plumbing and pump related questions

Ha Ha. That is one of the two protectors of my pool from the ducks. They just fly right over to the neighbor until we gifted the third one to them and now they fly over to his neighbor.

SPA/Pool plumbing and pump related questions

Thank you for your prompt reply Jim. I'm running it at full speed during this test because the pump has a quick clean button which runs at 3450 RPM (I know I can change it) but the experiment was just so that I can post my query as soon as possible. There are two pipes which the valves control...

SPA/Pool plumbing and pump related questions

Hello, I've decided to maintain the pool myself and recently got a new Pentair filter and variable speed pump installed. Everything seems to be working but I don't understand the two valves that are between the spa and the pump. I've attached the pictures. 1) The valve has arrows on them...

    Hello all

Hello everyone. I've had pool for last 6 years when I moved into my home but had the pool guy take care of it. Since I work from home, I have decided to take care of the pool myself. Hoping to learn from all the experts here.
