If it were me, I would have the pool builder demolish the concrete decking and fix the light like it was supposed to be. It's on his dime. You will kick yourself later if you don't demand it now and it will bug you every time you have thenlights on.

I love my Pentair Quad DE filter. Combo of DE on cartridge. I never backwash and just break it down and clean it twice a year.

I recommend biting the bullet and getting a gas heater. The gas heater will extend your season and as it gets colder, you'll want the water to be warmer. The cover will help but it won't heat your pool. Also, I think covers are butt ugly and a pain to get on and off, but JMHO.

Matt, I only have the "i" version, but I love the it! I used a side suction "Poolvergnuegen" before and the 300i is so much better. The extra warranty is nice. Not sure what the 2 level filter is on the 300, but the 300i comes with a multi layer filter to catch both large and small debris...

+1. Cleaning the Quad isn't difficult but time consuming. If getting a bigger filter means cleaning it one or two times less per year, then that's value to me.

I have a negative edge. I use a Dolphin s300i and love it. No issues with the negative edge, the cleaner won't topple over.

Short answer is you can't run the IpH with Intellichlor. Just curious, how does sanitizing fresh water work? Or are you saying you are just using bottled bleach?

I would never ever be without my SWG. If it broke tomorrow, I would immediately replace it with another SWG. Find a PB that's comfortable with a SWG.

I just heated the pool to 89 degrees last weekend and let he kids swim in the rain! They loved it! I'll prob heat it up again this weekend. It's expensive but worth it.

Man, I can't wait to get the new cell, fingers crossed for you guys to continue having success. For now, I have to go through the builder for warranty issues, but will escalate to Pentair if I don't get the IC switched out soon. I assume simple to swap the cells? I've never switched cells before.

I was looking at that last night too and noticed the dimensions also. Is there something else that's smaller? I'm not sure that will fit in my cabinet either. I will check when I get home later.

Well, I have 3.11 version cell and had the restart issue. I hope the new cell fixes your problem, but I don't think it's the Intellichlor that needs addressing. My money is still on the transformer or power supply. Keep us updated.

I assume everything is still under warranty, correct? If you think you'be possibly found the problem, I would escalate to pool builder/Pentair and have them fix the problem at this point. You don't want to troubleshoot and possibly void your warranty.
