Ok... so the other numbers that are already in there won't affect how much I need to add then, that's good... makes it easier. I see where it tells me how much to add (4.4 jugs of 8.25%). So off to the store I go. (don't worry will grab about 8 jugs to be safe...will use them eventually if...

So just use the FC and then the bottom part where it tells me how much bleach will raise my level how far, correct? (don't mean to sound obtuse but want to do it correctly!) (I did go ahead and add some borax because the pH was really a bit iffy so will retest when I'm back from my dollar...

Ok... so per the CYA chart I need to get it between 16-18. So when I use the pool math should I ONLY enter info for the FC or should I put it all in with the corresponding goals?

I have no idea how to use the kit yet or what a 'full set' of numbers even is with this kit. There are an awful lot of pieces! Also I don't think they would be accurate as the pool is still filling (about 4in more still needed). Do I need a 'full set' to adjust the pH?

Ok... we started with a swamp and were making some progress (nice blue but very cloudy by last Friday)when we had to leave for the weekend etc... I ordered my test kit TF-100 and have it in hand now (instructions would have been nice though... I found them here but IN the kit would be handy)...

Help... NEW pool owner of an old pool/swamp!

So what about the weekend? Since my pressure creeps up/return flow decreases and I need to backwash every 4-6hrs it seems should I turn the pump off while we are gone??

Also since we already have most of the debris out (all that we can get our vacuum and scoop on at least) and the water is now blue/cloudy instead of green/thick do we still do the SLAM? And what should I do from now until Monday when we return (and hopefully have the better test kit in hand)?
