Wheres the leak at? Anytime I had a leak under my pump, it was due to the ceramic seal. Its a quick fix. I wasn't comfortable taking apart the motor at first either, but once you do it once its a piece of cake!

Depending on what your replacing, redoing the piping isnt too bad. I just had my first experience doing that a few weeks ago - though I all I needed to do was replace a ball valve. I spent more time worrying about it then it actually took to do!

Air leaks in my pump basket were always caused by a worn gasket. Can you see the air getting in at the top of the basket?

Hi, I have a hayward offline chlorinator hooked up which I havent used for 2 years. The only reason I even have it hooked up is because of the two holes I had to drill in my pvc piping to install it. Does anyone know what I can use to cap these holes off so I dont have to hook it up anymore...

I think the solar cover helps to retain the heat. It will prevent heat loss that you would get from water evaporation. (I think thats what I read somewhere - I dont claim to be smart though!) We dont have a heater anymore, but our pool has gotten pretty warm some seasons just with the solar...

Hi, So I got my Hayward ec65 taking apart looking for what could be causing de leaking into the pool. Didn't see any tears in the fingers and everything looked good. What else could have caused the leak? Could the gasket have gotten unseated? Thanks in advance!
