    Changing out Hayward Color Logic?

Is there a way to easily tell? I believe they are 120v as I don't remember seeing a transformer on the back when I had my liner replaced last there.

    Changing out Hayward Color Logic?

My pool was built in 2009 and the light that I'm assuming was originally installed at the time has finally died. (I bought the house in 2015) So again, assuming that a Hayward Color Logic lasted that long... Of course I'm pretty alarmed at the nearly $1,000 cost for a replacement light...

    Enough Time?

Yeah I haven't used my pool frog in quite some time, just came with the house. I've been around here since 2015 which is when I bought the house, just never done a full refill on the pool. I have all my chemicals ready to go, test kit is ready...even picked up a much needed speed stir. Okay well...

    Enough Time?

Hey guys, Back in March I put down a deposit to get my in-ground pool liner replaced. What was supposed to take 2-3 weeks has now stretched out to nearly 3 months partly due to Covid-19 with the liner manufacturer warehouse shutting down to the company I picked probably not making me a...

    Backwashing milk?

So I've been living the slam life after finding out my cya level disappeared. I was maintaining a level of 40 for the summer, but when my pool went green after the 4th and I was losing chlorine quick, I was shocked to see my cya registering zero. We did have a lot of rain in June, but I'm still...

    Whisperflo to Superflo

I wasn't sure since the sticker stated 1hp on the side of the whisperflo. The whisperflo couldn't push enough water to run the deck jets, returns and spa seats all at the same time. I normally would have to reduce flow to one of the features, but honestly rare I would run all at once anyways.

    Whisperflo to Superflo

Need advice, my 1hp Whisperflo pump recently died and I ordered a 1.5hp Superflo pump. For my size pool, 28k gallons, floor jets, and spa seats aka buddy seats. Did I make a mistake? I was assuming it was an upgrade due to the increase in HP, but reading up more... I realized they are not the...

    Constant Sand Problem

The pump runs the returns, buddy seats and four jets on each side of the pool. I'm going to assume that is why it is so large. My robot has a three hour cycle, I run it when I see dirt like this. I run the pump about four to six hours. If I clean the pool with the robot and dont run the filter...

    Constant Sand Problem

Here are the pics When I brush it, it looks like a cloud of dust. It does not fall right back down. The service factor states 1.25

    Constant Sand Problem

My numbers all are good, pool has been crystal clear since I opened it in early April and if you look at the pictures of what my robot caught in the filter you can see it is definitely sand. I do wonder if my pump is too strong for it though, it states it is 1.25 HP, but I feel that it would...

    Constant Sand Problem

Right, I thought it could be that especially with the leaking backwash pipe which is why I went ahead and replaced the entire filter including the multi port. Everything on the filter side is brand new, new filter, new multi port, new sand. I think I need a new me at this point :( Here are some...

    Constant Sand Problem

That is what I'm hoping, just how long do you think it would take for the sand to leave the lines?

    Constant Sand Problem

Hi everyone, I'm at a complete loss on what steps to take next for this problem I've had since I bought my house last April. Everytime I run the pool I notice that I would get sand on the pool floor. I made sure it was coming out of the filter by tying a sock around the return and sure enough...

Leak in my solid pool cover

I recently had my pool closed by the builder. I have one of those foxx pool fitted covers. Just like the one in that video. ( Closing Inground Pool With Fox Cover - YouTube ) I was outside today clearing the leaves off and getting ready to pump the water off the top when I noticed there was a...

How can you tell if your sand filter is low on sand?

I replaced the laterals and the standpipe assembly about a month ago. It did not fix my issue of sand blowing into my pool. I've tried to learn to live with it, but it is pretty annoying. I tried putting socks on my returns to catch the sand but it seems to get through them as well. Although it...

    Still getting sand in pool

I had this same issue although I replaced the entire stand pipe assembly as well. I did this a few weeks ago and I'm still getting sand in the pool. Its not a lot, but it is still annoying...I'm not sure what else could cause the problem. I'm just dealing with it I suppose....its not a huge...

    Getting sand in the pool

Well I let the pump run overnight and here is the sand that showed up..it is not a ton, but still enough for about 12 hours of pump run time....sorry about some of the stuff on the top, its a very windy day here in Louisville

    Getting sand in the pool

I'm still getting sand in the pool!! I've replaced the laterals and the standpipe, I filled the tank half full with water and then added the sand back to the filter. Then I backwashed for about 4-5 mins and rinsed afterwards for another 40 seconds or so. What else could it be? The multiport?

    Getting sand in the pool

That is what I ended up doing, I figured that was better than just letting the water sit there. Hopefully replacing these laterals will fix the problem. They all seemed to look okay though. I didn't notice any broken pieces on them...

    Getting sand in the pool

Turns out these are not the right parts...ugh this is frustrating. I got all the sand out and then took out the laterals to learn the replacements don't even fit... It seems like the parts for the model TA100 are in my filter. Look...So I would need PN 152202 The black laterals are what was...

not very much at all, just small drips so I guess I will not worry about it at the moment.

Small leak on valve pipe for returns

Hi, I have a small leak coming from the valve that controls my returns. I don't know much about plumbing so how can I fix this?

    Getting sand in the pool

Update: I didn't catch really any sand in the sock over the other return. So I was thinking well I did backwash the day before yesterday...maybe I didn't rinse enough. I let the robot clean the floor and let the pump run overnight. Came out this morning and sand again in the pool....So maybe my...

    Getting sand in the pool

Thanks, I finally found a source for sand. Well I let the sock run over the return closest to the filter for a few hours. Zero sand inside so I've moved it to the other return. I did backwash yesterday but I rinsed as well...I really do not want to take this thing apart only to find out...

    Getting sand in the pool

Thanks, I'm hoping this local store has them in stock. They are checking for me now, I want to make sure I can get the replacement sand and parts needed on hand before I start this repair. Even if the lateral is not the problem it would still be nice to have these on hand. If it wasn't the...

    Getting sand in the pool

Ok I have a sock over the return so I let that run for a bit and see. I'm pretty sure its coming from the filter because there isn't any sand around my pool deck. Both returns have sand near the bottom and then along the edges of the floor where it meets up with the wall. I've checked my local...

    Getting sand in the pool

So it seems that I'm getting sand in my pool. My robot cleaned the entire pool yesterday and I noticed there was sand in its filter. After running the pump overnight I came out to find the bottom of my pool was dirty again so it has to be sand. The pool installer told me that the sand hasn't...

New Pool Owner with T-100 Test Results

Thanks, I will add the bleach tomorrow morning and post the results after 30 minutes. Hopefully I'm not dealing with ammonia. Would the water still be blue?
