    Pool and Forum Newbie

Welcome! Head over to the under construction forum to find tons of info. My only warning is there is so much info on this site I find it hard to actually search for anything and get the results I want. Hopefully you have better results than me :)

    New build in PA

Quite the hike up to that Spa! Four returns seems a little light.. I would have expected 6 for the size at a minimum.

    Pool School Questions to ask

I assumed it is a guy that worked for the PB, but maybe he is contracted out... Guess I will find out once I get it scheduled.

    Pool School Questions to ask

Thanks for the reply Atttech-2. I've already got out of sync LED's actually. turned them on the other day for the first time and I have two blues and one purple...

    Pool School Questions to ask

Maybe I have a wrong impression of what "pool school" that my PB is providing. To me I was expecting this to be an introduction to the pool on how to operate the equipment, keep the chemicals in check and general maintenance knowledge. Basically handing it over to me. As far as I am aware my...

    New Katy Texas Build (Houston)

Got some trees installed over the weekend. Still waiting for the wood deck installation. Carpentry crews have been hard to get in Houston at the moment.

    Pool School Questions to ask

Is there a comprehensive list of questions one should ask during their initial pool school? I will have mine in the next week or so and would like to be fully prepared. Thanks!

    New Katy Texas Build (Houston)

Plaster is going in right now! WetEdge Antigua. PB said they will start the fill tomorrow. Is that normal to wait a day before starting the fill? Also, reading the WetEdge website they say I should have the salt cell removed for the first 28 days. Any experiences with that? - - - Updated...

    Hole in travertine coping

Travertine is a natural stone, not a man made product so there will always be some variability to it. We just had our whole deck installed with Travertine and I love the holes and texture. For me the more the better. I will say for the Travertine we love how it doesn't feel hot or too...

    New Katy Texas Build (Houston)

Should be getting plaster end of this week! Wood deck has been delayed a bit due to all the carpenters being busy in Houston. Love the travertine decking so far though!

    New Katy Texas Build (Houston)

I don't want to be too hard on my PB so what expectation should I have on a geometric pool and being square? I see a few spots that are off and bug me a little but are not horrible in the grand scheme of things. I assume I should just let this go but want the opinion of the forum. My infinity...

New Build in West Houston Area - PB

I think this area is still a mandatory evacuation zone... not sure if they have been allowed back to their property yet. Seeing the photos of some of the areas I imagine they got water into their house and will need significant repairs. Pools posting might be the least of their problems at the...

Accent Tiles and Spacing in Pebble/Plaster

We would like to add a tile accent line in the spa seating area and on our steps into the pool. My PB says "Tile set in Pebble Plaster in not generally recommended unless you have a large (8 inch) space between" Is this true? I see lots of photos of pools with tiles embedded in the plaster...

Getting started in Coppell, TX (DFW)

Not that my opinion counts but I like the second design better. I really like that decking that is stepped up on the opposite side of the pool. Both designs are very nice though so i dont think you could go wrong with either. Plus lets be honest, Pool #2 is bigger, you are in Texas, bigger...
