NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO UNREAD POSTS!?!?!?!

Well, I don't know many Mac users. Although, I have worked on a few, and I do find them probably even more intuitive than a windows machine. I would like to run it in Virtual Machine for a while and see if I am really ready to dump $2500 on a laptop or not.

Awesome, sorry I posted about the other browsers, but there really aren't many Mac users out there yet.

    Back filling around an AGP?

Ok, if you use stone with no fines in it, you do not need to put fabric or sock on the pipe, you would need like pea gravel, 3/4 stone, or something like that. I would not put plastic up the side of the pool, it will never dry out, and will either mold/mildew or rot the side of the pool. If...

NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO UNREAD POSTS!?!?!?!

Ok, have you tried to solve the problem on your own? This is truly more than likely a cookie problem, I don't know what browser you are using, but here is a couple tutorials that tell you how to delete your history and cookies. For Internet Explorer 5 and above, you can follow these directions...

Never heard of that one, but it sounds like a cookie thing. Clear your history and cookies out and try again.

    Routinely dosing Algecide.....

I never use algecide at all, (algecide apparently cannot be spelled correctly). Even if you do get algae, you can shock it out with bleach.

    Underwater Lights for AGPs

I have an 18' round, and an aqualuminator, and it lights up my pool just fine, it also has lens that can be swapped for a change of mood. The red one is so romantic.

Best Way To Test Chlorine Daily

I too have found that I just get a feel for my pool after a while of testing and just begin to add the approximate amount of bleach that I use per day. I will still test, daily, every other day, or maybe every third day. Rarely will I go a week without testing.

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

That is what I will do then. I know that if it were to settle out, the act of vacuuming it would cause it to get stirred up again, unless I were to vacuum to waste, which is really not feasible on an 18' round pool, I would get around two minutes before I needed to add water again. I am glad...

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

Ok, so today, after about three gallons of chlorine, I have a milky white soup. I went out there and shut the pump off, if I remember correctly I need to let the algae settle to the bottom and then vacuum it up. I will have to do this slowly so as to not disrupt it too much and cloud the water...

How to cool an IG pool????Help!

I rember this from last year I think... If I remember correctly, it was a length of pvc, like possibly 1 1/2 ", with a bunch of tees on it like 1", all ends were capped off, and there were a bunch of holes drilled in it. Basically it was a fountain. I don't remember how he had it float...

How to cool an IG pool????Help!

Here are the quick connect couplings: From there you could go with a short piece of pump hose: To an adapter to the PVC, the flex hose would allow you to quick couple it to say a removable cover on your deck, which would have a valve and the male part of the adapter. You could totally...

    Opening Help

Could you just connect a hose to the inlet, and hold it in the air, then dump water in, possibly with a garden hose until it comes out clean. i assume that you would not have it connected to the pool of course, so that it would dump onto the ground.

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

Checked it again 3 hours later, ph was high, and chlorine was essentially gone. I added about a quart of muratic acid, and another half gallon of chlorine. Will check it hourly from here on out.

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

Pool is roughly 8600 gallons CYA is less than 20, probably 10, or lower, I am adding about 2 pounds of stabilizer to the skimmer in a sock. Chlorine, nonexistent. Ph is around 8.5, figured I would add around 2 cups or more to get it down. In order to get things to shock value at a 10 CYA I will...

How to cool an IG pool????Help!

Pics aren't there anymore. Although, this same thing could be accomplished by putting a tee and valve in the return line, and using a quick couple with flex hose connected to your contraption that can easily be put in and removed. I don't have the problem of the pool overheating though.

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

I got the test kit, plus I got 4 cases of liquid shock on hand, I am working on filtering and getting all the leaves out right now. I never covered it over the winter. Honestly I am surprised it is still standing.

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

That thing would be myself, along with my one day old haircut that I gave to myself. We are getting into filling the filter now. Won't be long before I kick the pump on. BTW, new pump this year, it was really loud last year. Also had to get a new skimmer since I left the valve closed in mine...

My Green Swamp used to be a pool!!!

Well, here is what happens when you don't properly close your pool. Every year now since starting BBB and closing correctly, I have opened to a pristine pool. This year, is going to be exciting!! No test results yet, will let the pump run for a bit first.

Wanting to mount tv, rec and speakers on back porch....

I agree with the whole going outside to get away from the TV. I rarely watch it inside, there is just too much life to be lived without needing to be entertained 24/7. But, I would say that as far as putting anything you want on a brick wall, I would answer that with the proper methods, yes...

More confussed than ever before! AGP ?'s for install, etc.

I put down sand, plus the happy foam, duct taped the joints, this was 6 years ago, and not a bit of trouble yet. Putting sand on top of the happy bottom seems silly to me. Sand, by nature, compacts. Happy foam does not. Putting something harder on top of something softer is really sort of...

Wanting to mount tv, rec and speakers on back porch....

I will be interested in knowing whether you get the 27" CRT TV mounted to exterior brick like that without pulling the bricks off the wall. Good luck.

TA creepin up fast, how to aerate?

Yes, but it isn't permanently lowered (the TA). You will need to keep you PH low, and aerate the pool somehow. Either by introducing Oxygen into the water with a compressor, or rigging some type of fountain onto a return, somehow you need to agitate the water. I have also thought of using a...
