    Jandy Lite2 FL5 Troubleshooting

This may be a more complete manual for your heater?, http://bostonheatingsupply.com/Jandy%20Zodiac/Jandy%20LJ.PDF Page # 38 RE: FL5 seems to refer to a resetting sequence needed after an FL5 code and correcting the low voltage condition.

    Jandy JXI heater issues

What specifically were the gas line issues and other issues that prevented the heater use until August 2023? Did the heater replace an existing heater? Who was the heater installed by and have they been addressing the issues that prevented the use of the heater? Why has it taken them more than a...

Purex Triton Minimax Plus 150M not staying lit

All indications seem to point to a gas supply pressure problem. As Allen mentioned you should check both static and dynamic gas supply pressures as the heater attempts to fire up. New pilot assembly would seem to eliminate the possibility of a restricted pilot orifice and even then with the...

    Hayward Heater IF

Model number and age of heater? Quite possibly dirty flame sensor or dirt/corrosion of grounding surfaces/connections. Photos would also be helpful.

Mastertemp troubleshooting, voltage to gas valve seems low.

I think that this is the manual for your heater https://www.pentair.com/content/dam/extranet/nam/pentair-pool/residential/heaters/mastertemp/manual/Manual-MasterTemp-472592-English.pdf The wiring diagram and ladder diagram are on pages 40 & 41. The 24 volts to the gas valve consisting...

I think it’s the heating element. Help me raise my confidence level.

I think it works out to about a 1 degree temperature rise every 1 1/2 hours. With no temperature losses. That's if my brain is still working ( just go back from a week with my 2 granddaughters ) !

I think it’s the heating element. Help me raise my confidence level.

I see the breaker for the pool heater in the photo, but can't see the Amp rating on the reset lever? What is the Amp rating on the breaker? If it says 30A then you are under the 80% load limit. Since the breaker is GFCI it introduces another reason for it to trip other than over amperage. Just...

I think it’s the heating element. Help me raise my confidence level.

Just looked at the manual for the heater Ladder Diagram; Schematic Diagram - Raypak ELS 552-2 Installation & Operating Instructions Manual [Page 5] . Does the "indicator light" light up when the heating element is powered? What size breaker is supplying the heater? Curious as to why the...

I think it’s the heating element. Help me raise my confidence level.

A 10.4 Ohm heating element with a 240 volt supply Is ~ 5538 Watts and should draw ~ 23 Amps. This all seems correct for the heater you listed. Is the heating element drawing 23 Amps when it is powered? Be aware that the high limit is a manual reset. Does the high limit show continuity across...

    Raypak 406A not igniting.

Just back from visit with grandkids. Heater seems to have spark ignited pilot. Gas valve knob would only be labeled "on/off". There would need to be an ignition control/circuit board to regulate pilot, pilot proving and burners. This seems to be the manual for the heater...

    Gas Heater Noise

Would be helpful to have exact Raypak model number and age of heater to be able to access the manual for the heater. Noise issues like yours are somewhat difficult to diagnose from offsite, but can be attempted with enough information. You should include all specific equipment information in...

    Hayward H250ed2c control board?

It would seem that the ignitor ( "direct spark ignitor" that lights off burners directly rather than a pilot, as opposed to a "hot surface ignitor" ) is not lighting off the burners directly. This can be due to dirt/corrosion of the ignitor assembly itself causing a weak spark or a problem with...

    Hayward H250ed2c control board?

Make sure that the connector is flat/flush with the board when resoldering so that the connector is tight with no wiggle room to crack again

    Hayward H250ed2c control board?

If the solder joints on the back of the board are indeed cracked there may be no need for "jumpers" as you should be able to just resolder the connection

    Hayward H250ed2c control board?

Looks like Allen may have given you the correct manual. The wiring diagram would be on page 16. System appears to be direct spark ignition. Circuit board is powered at the connection that you say seems to be loose. You can check voltage into the circuit board by removing the connector that you...

Efficiency!! Without some form of venting assistance a heater is limited to a lower efficiency. You won't find a natural draft residential furnace these days because of the mandated minimum efficiency.

    Filter capacity?

If the $500 cost to clean each heater is in addition to the service contract cost it is laughable. Most HVAC clean and check costs are normally between $100-120 with many companies offering a clean and check at $70-80 to get their foot in the door. The manufacturer's recommendation of annual...

    Heater gas valve

There is no " right part " for replacing the gas valve. Melting of plastic parts on both the upper control panel and gas valve are indications of an ongoing and serious safety concern with the heater questioning the integrity of the combustion chamber and flue passages. Why wasn't the heater...

Replacement of a 075192 pilot tube on a Pentair Mini Max 300 Plus pool heater

The brass fittings that go on either end have the ferrules attached at the end of the fitting. The 1/4" aluminum pilot tubing is inserted until it bottoms out in the fitting hole. As the fitting/ferrule is tightened, the ferrule breaks away from the fitting and seals around the tubing as the...

    Hayward High CO emissions

Carbon monoxide can also come from unexpected sources. Once had an older gentleman who called us out for carbon monoxide because he was convinced that the new furnace we installed was causing his carbon monoxide detector to go off. Furnace was not producing carbon monoxide and neither was the...

    Hayward High CO emissions

Usually your natural gas supplier will check for the source of carbon monoxide. Many times a customer will call their HVAC contractor if they have recently installed any equipment that might be the source of detected carbon monoxide. Most fire departments will check for CO, but may be unable to...

    Hayward High CO emissions

Unexplained voltage Reading from Mastertemp 400 Blower Motor

If the Fenwal starts the blower motor the expected reading between F1 and F2 would be 0 volts because it is the same feed wire to the motor in relation to the load.

Unexplained voltage Reading from Mastertemp 400 Blower Motor

The F1/F2 contacts on the Fenwal are supposed to close and start the blower motor when you have 24 volts between "TH" and the 24 volt ground. If you have 24 volts at these 2 points and the contacts do not close, you would need to replace the Fenwal.

Unexplained voltage Reading from Mastertemp 400 Blower Motor
