New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

Some good progress these last two weeks. Plumbing was installed and pressurized last week and tile took the last 4 days. The tile guy really took his time to make sure it was done right. Waiting for the bonding and plumbing inspection and footers next week.

Interesting, thank you for the videos, those were really helpful! I’ll talk to the PB about this!

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

Visually, it looks close, but I think it’s slightly under the shell (of course this could change with a lot of rain). They did not have to install a well point… there is just a little disposable pump that they had running before they shot the shell. I’m assuming once the pool is filled with...

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

Progress continues  The PB was onsite this morning and they expect to have the plumbing and equipment installed tomorrow; tile next week. I asked about the depth of the light and he said that he already noticed that the niches they put in the shell were not only too shallow, but also...

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

@TampaKathy thank you for reviewing.. I just measured and the holes are each 12-14 inches below the top (measured to the middle of the hole)... hoping that's okay? The PB did acknowledge the rebar...it's also exposed in the spillover area from the spa. They said they would simply trim that...

Building a new home, so building a new pool and spa too!

Thanks for this... I'm in the middle of building a pool/spa combo and need to ask my builder about this. I agree that it would be preferable to have the pool and spa lights on separate circuits. Thanks!

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

So went out of town for a few days (work trip) and came back last night to a completed pool shell! PB was back this morning to do the strip and backfill. The wife started watering the morning after the pool was shot and we are watering 3x a day due to the hot Florida sun. How much water...

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

Looked what showed up in the mail this weekend! I had the original at my last house (and left for the new owner along with lessons on the TFP method). I'm pretty impressed with this"pro" kit. Even my wife was impressed with the new case. She asked if I was excited.... uh, yes I am :cool...

Plan on building a new pool in Houston area. Anything i need to change?

I really like the three levels of the water features. Stunning. Will the one flowing over the bench have a different feed so you can enjoy the feature while on the bench and in the pool?

New fiberglass pool build in OBX- Current stage Fence and Landscape.

I have to pile on with the others. I think it looks great now and it's only going to look better once its in the ground and filled with water . My neighbor in my old home had a pool that looked very similar and it looked awesome when it was filled and everyone was swimming!

New Build (Jax FL) - Pool Filled 10/12 - In Startup Phase

The build continues and we have rebar, some plumbing, and the rain is already washing the walls away. How concerned should I be about the walls washing down? Is there something that I should be watching for, or taking action on? I see the main drains and spa jets are plumbed... am I correct to...
