Having a pool built and need advice

POOL mode I don't want the spillover at a higher speed. If I make it higher, the pressure in the system goes up way too high and the way the water spills over the spa looks terrible. I'll do it as a test, though, to see if that's actually the issue.

I powered off the aqualink, toggled dip switch 3 OFF then back ON, then powered back on. No difference. Should the aqualink be powered on/off between toggling the dip switch so that it recognizes it is off? Should I do "Restore Speed Defaults" on this page? How long should it take for the VSP...

I switched the label to Speed4 and went back to edit again, and it says "Spillover". I cannot tell if this one is custom or built in. I'm able to select it in the list. Ok it appears this one is built in. If I go to the other speed preset labels, the one intended for the default is always at...

What is the problem? Are you talking about the speed preset names? Should I do the "reset to defaults" button when you select your pump in the VSP configuration page?

Screenshots below for the requested menus. I did use a custom name. There was no premade label for "Spillover". There is one named "Spillway" though. I tried both "Spillover" and "SPILLOVER", but neither work. Here is how I test: 1. Go to Home > Other Devices > VSP1 Spd, verify speed is on...

I did flip that on. I can tell it works because there is a new spillover toggle and spillover itself is working (the return JVA changes but not the suction) The image you posted there is not visible; which page do you want me to show?

For @PoolGate : This page talks about the speeds and how they map to certain functions. Specifically, it states that spillover should be speed 4. I set up my speeds as follows: When I toggle "Spillover" mode, the pump stays on speed 1 (Pool). I expected it to switch to speed 4 as the guide...

Ok spillover mode is working. I had to move my sheers from AUX3 to AUX7. I have a few questions: - The two JVAs the PB added do not take up AUX5 and AUX6 on the board, even though those two control them. Are the JVAs plugged in somewhere else and the AUX5 and AUX6 are basically just reserved to...

Before mucking with the dip switch and aux plugs on the aqualink, should I flip the breaker off or is it enough to simply put it in service/timeout mode?

So just to make sure I understand: You're suggesting to keep it off permanently and only use the side jets to bring water into the spa? Will that create pressure issues in SPA mode? I imagine those jets will be more forceful. Never mind, I forgot that in SPA mode it doesn't use it anyway! I...

Won't I also need a JVA for that diverter valve? Or are you suggesting I keep it off permanently or switch it manually when I change between spa/pool/spillover mode?

I want to set up spill over mode for my spa. Right now, any time the filter pump runs (for pool mode), the spa is spilling over. The spa has two return pipes: One for the bottom return (shoots straight up to the surface, and this is 100% open in pool mode). The second controls the return jets on...

Oh I should have mentioned: There's a few concerns I have with raising the water level: 1. There's an overflow somewhere; I'm not 100% sure where but I feel like if it gets higher, it will flow over. There's probably some wiggle room, maybe? I don't know. 2. The autofill is set up right now to...

How is this expected to be fully closed when all it has is the "pool noodle" material in it to make it float? There are no springs. No matter how much I search, I can't find a video or product manual that explains the expected behavior of the weir. My uneducated assumptions are: When the pool...
