Correct breaker box for heat pump.

Thank you Greg. About the Romex... yes I know it's an unshielded cable intended for an interior use, but I did not know that I couldn't run it inside the PVC. What would be the difference of just running 4 separate wires inside the PVC, or running the Romex which is pretty much the same thing...

Correct breaker box for heat pump.

Got everything finished up and ready to go for the heat pump (still need to ground the box). I think this is correct, but for the sake of double checking.... Does this look right to you guys? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Electric heat pump is the winner !! Now which one and what size .....

I'm in the exactly same boat as you, going with a heat pump as well. I'm finishing up with an additional 60amp service right now and will be purchasing the heat pump within next couple days. I was initially looking at the Jandy heat pumps as all my equipment is Jandy, but now just about settled...

Correct breaker box for heat pump.

Ah... Ok. That makes sense now I suppose. I've never dealt with this type of the box before, few sub boxes that I ran before were not single phase. The cable I'm running to this box is a 6-3, so it is a 4 wire cable. As far as the ground bar, so I can just buy a separate ground bar and attach...

Correct breaker box for heat pump.

Hey folks, so I just ran the new 60amp service outside for the upcoming heat pump. Just picked up this box and its confusing the heck out of me. It's cutler hammer (eaton) 125 amp 4 spaces/8 circuits outdoor main lug. It's a 110/240 box, but in the specs it says single phase/single pole.... By...

Backed to the sunroom kitchen island placement.

Yes that's certainly is my concern as well, hence the thought of building a fireproof barrier/backsplash. My bigger concern at is point is the back venting. Also I definitely don't want to do anything against code.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Backed to the sunroom kitchen island placement.

Good points on the regs. No sketch yet as I'm pretty busy with a gazebo pad at the moment, but will be putting one together in the next several weeks and will definitely post it. Appreciate the input! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Backed to the sunroom kitchen island placement.

Hey folks, So I'm planning out my outdoor kitchen and one the options I'm considering is to maybe back the island (or at least the portion of it where the grills are going to be) to the exterior sunroom wall (vinyl siding). I'm thinking, I can install a fire/heat proof barrier behind that also...

    My ODK Build in Houston

One question, did you design all the modules yourself, or had the plans you followed? I've never framed something like this before, so a little worried about screwing it up... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Waterfall help

I have the same issue with my sheer descent. It about 4' high and is loud... My problem though is the height drop of the water. So, when you're saying your waterfall is 4', are you talking about the drop of the water, or the overall height of the waterfall, as an stone with water just going down...

    ePool

It sure does. No issues at all. I love that thing, it comes especially handy when I'm traveling and away from home for a few days, since there's no way my wife will use the Taylor kit, she just checks the ePool and I also get an email if the readings are off. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

So adding salt to non SWG pool is for the fee only, or there's another benefit?

My diamondbrite surface has always been rough

My diamondbrite surface has always been rough since day one. its like a medium coarse sandpaper. I brushed like crazy for the first year and it never made any difference. my pH and Calcium levels are always right on target. When I asked the builder last year he told me it was normal for...

MD Pool Builder Recommendations (Baltimore Area prefer)

We ended up using Elite and are very happy with our pool, but the landscaper that works with Elite not so much. I would certainly recommend Elite, but get your own landscaper for any deck, wall, landscaping needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Glycol based solar heating system

Getting some quotes before I decide to DIY the solar.... So I had one of the contractor come up and give me an estimate, I thought it was going to be a standard type solar, but turns out he only does closed loop glycol based system with glass/metal panels and metal piping, comes with its own...

    Installing valve actuator

yes the system was installed as it is now as part of the pool build. I will get a hold of my builder and will ask him to do what you've suggested as I certainly don't need pool+spa CPU. thank you!

    Hayward CL100 Automatic Chlorinator

if you gonna use Hayword cl100 chlorinator I can attest that it does work great being able to set the desired chlorination level is great, my pool uses much less chlorine because I keep it covered unless we're swimming, so for me being able to set it to a minimal level and maintain it at that...

Thinking of installing auto fill device

Thank you for the link and please listen to the folks and rent a trencher. It doesn't matter how great the shovel is, if your ground is anything like mine (or even like the one in the video) you will kill yourself by digging a trench that long by hand. I've had to do a lot of trenching by hand...
