High TA in Salt Water Pool

My TA is consistently between 90-110. I just installed a SWCG. I searched for high TA and I’m nowhere near some of the high levels, so I could probably lower it pretty fast - but in general is a little bit on the high end much of a concern? I’m -0.33 CSI right now, and increasing my CH to 350...

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

Reading the stains/spots posts and guides, it looks like they are organic. They are fading a little with my SWCG running (we had a power outage Monday so might have been low on FC). Almost had a moment 😂

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

These spots have popped up all over my pool - steel brush does nothing to them. Should I be concerned?

    Active 30i vs Warrior SE

Every other day right now, we are getting lots of those pollen clusters dropping from the oak.

    Active 30i vs Warrior SE

I’ve been leaving mine in the water, so not a lot of opportunities to untangle unless I think about it 😂

    Water softener/purifier

I received a call from Rainsoft that there was a “whole home purifier” at one point, maybe it’s brand dependent?

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

Well I woke up this morning to my wife shaking me awake telling me the lights are flickering and half the power in the house is not working....in my brain addled state, I immediately think “Oh no! What could I have possibly done when I installed the SWCG that destroyed my whole breaker box???”...

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

I’m running it right now for 11 hours a day, little longer than I normally do for this time of year.

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

I have been having to add 80oz of bleach every 5 days, which would equate to 6ppm for my 11k gal. So about 1.2ppm per day at 50 CYA. Maybe a little higher if I account for getting so low that I might not be accurately testing 1ppm, so 1.5ppm to be safe.

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

I have a single speed pump, I meant the SWCG controller - I set it on medium chlorine generation.

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

Salinity is 3800ppm and control module is wired in (temporarily, it’s a cluster-f so will have to redo a bunch of stuff). Water flow LED is off (which I believe means it is properly triggered). Since I have a single speed pump, I set the controller on medium output, sound about right or should...

    Active 30i vs Warrior SE

Gotcha. I don’t think I’ll go to the extent of disassembling quite yet. I’ve been untangling it every other run, maybe if I keep up with it a bit more it’ll be a little less stiff and prone to the tangles. Thanks!

    Active 30i vs Warrior SE

Lately it seems like the robot’s cable is getting twisted every time it runs, which prevents it from cleaning about half the pool. Anyone else seeing that issue? I specifically asked Marina about it when I bought it but they said the issue had been resolved for a while now with the addition of...

I grabbed the 1766 kit so that’s what we will do. Slow and steady! I don’t mind the physics at all 😂

How long did you wait to test it after each staged addition? An hour or just when it looks fully disssolved?

    Water softener/purifier

Not sure if this is the proper forum but I thought with all the folks on here maybe someone has run across this. I’ve been avoiding this pipe in my garage forever, I thought it has something to do with sprinklers but a plumber said it looks like a water softener/purifier system of tanks used to...

Getting sick of putting chlorine in

Yeah I was just going to leave it unplugged until salinity target is reached. Once that happens - just keep adjusting the controller and testing FC? I started high at 8.5 last night because I was doing OCLT, target was 7 but overshot a little. My CYA needs to come up a bit (currently at 50) and...

I did not.....I have all the salt but I was maybe prescribed to the order of operations a bit too rigidly...😬 I was planning on adding it tonight.

Ok, pieces glued in. Followed the manufacturers suggestion to leave the cell out until the glue dries but I did put it beside the pieces and looks like it’ll be a good tight fit. T - 1.75 hours!

Manufacturers suggestion. There’s maybe 7-8” from the valve itself to the actual flow switch. I’m also tempted to go this route in case the manufacturer plus shenanigans with the warranty....

With this dry fit (reversed obviously), there is just barely 6” of straight pipe from the back flow valve.

Both the cell and flow switch directions are clearly marked and I’m assuming flow direction is exiting the filter and then going underground. If you’re positive this flow switch is best downstream then that means in the dry fit picture attached, I’ll move the cell toward the filter and put the...
