I was basically worried about bleaching the cover. I’ll let the Fc drift down and maybe close the cover tonight. Hopefully it won’t rain. I really liked out with rain this week. I am actually amazed at how well the slam worked. I thought for sure there was another issue.

Finally got to check again at 1220. Dropped to 7. Added more juice.

So far so good. Added chlorine. First test was low. Added more. Second test was at 7.5. Added more and threw the cya socks in the skimmer baskets. I’ll test again after I return from the dentist. Hopefully all will continue as predicted.

O ok. Thanks. I’ve got 4 gallons of the 12.5 percent. And a couple wal mart gallons the I think are 6-7 percent. That should be ok I think? I’ll go for it tomorrow morn. Hopefully the sunlight won’t screw me. And I hope I can get a decent Cya reading.

Ok. Everything seems to be functioning correctly!! Now to deal with the fact that it is almost green! Off to buy some bleach.

I can say that when I hook the hose up to the skimmer to vacuum the pool, there’s only one hole to put the hose in. Would the gizmo hole be the one that stays open?

There is another plug. And looks like a little sliding hatch cover. I understand removing the gizmo. Unsure of what to do about the other plug.

bad new is, I opened the cover the other day to deal with something else. water is pretty cloudy. cant see the bottom. looks like slamming will be one of the first things I'll need to do after things are up and running.
