should i lube the return along with plumbers tape? just installed new liner. water is filled pretty high. its at the point to where i can install the intake and the return. my question is: when i screw together the return do i just use plumbers tape or should i use plumbers tape and lube. or...

im filling my pool up. should i only fill it up halfway to let the liner stretch or can i just fill it all the way up. (Its J-Hook) NEW LINER this year

i just put in my new liner and im filling it up. there is 1 inch of water in the pool. when should i put on the water intake and the return (yes in know about the seals) THANKS!!!!!

im thinking when i fill my pool up im gonna go get the water tested. get my CYA to 50 first. then im gonna adjust the alkalinity so my ph doesnt go crazy. then when my Alk. is stabalized i will stabalize my ph. the add some bleach. does that sound right. sorry guy got a lot goin on in my life...

im putting n a new liner. i have the two seals for the intake and i have the two seals for the return. last year i still had small leaks though. is there anything you can put on the seals to make the seal even stronger.

i am installing a new liner this year. (j-hook). any good tips on that would be helpful!!!! when my pool is filled should i adjust the alk. first, PH second and chlorine third? are there any other chemical i should add at the beginning as well sorry guys. i got a lil rusty over the past winter.

on my bottle of acid it said to always dilute the acid first. i dont know if this holds true for pool use but i always pre dilute it in a bucket of water. (wearing safety goggles).... i havnt had any problems.

with doing some further research i dont know if they deliver out of the states.... it would probrobly cost more than $40 anyways. your best bet would be to buy in bulk all at once!!!!!!!!!!

Hi welcome to the site. there are some very knowledgable people on here. im sure you will have perfect water before you know it. when you say start your pool up do u mean this is brand new pool water? also what type of pool and equipment do you have... if you scroll down to the bottom of my post...

its probably your Alkalinity. when your Alk. gets low your ph tends to go up and down. when your Alk. gets high your Ph tends to drift upwards... i try to keep my Alk. around 85

maybe you can flock your pool.. Pool flock will drop all the floating material in your pool to the bottom. just vacume to waste and bam a clear pool. i do this anytime i open my pool and its dirty... just make sure you raise your ph to 7.8

so did you paint the walls with the rust preventer?

my ph is at 7.2.. im pretty sure this wouldnt cause any skin problems. no one has ever said anything!!!

i call mine the "bug catcher". its been so dry around here the only place to get water from is my pool... im willing to share but some never make it back!!! gone to the skimmer :jocolor:

just curious to know if a high or low ph will have any effect on our skin...
