Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Thanks for the video link. That’s the exact one I watch yesterday. Need to buy the tool. I’m guessing the rubber seal on the light tube was expanded far enough previously. Doubt the conduit was “air tight” but I’m guessing it was tight enough with very little water coming though. Still trying...

Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Well, here is the latest. I wanted to identify if this problem light was from the spa or pool. I turned all the power off and disconnect one of the wires that was coming out of the conduit that was overflowing. Turned power back on and sure enough, it was coming from the one of the spa lights...

Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Ya I am doing that today. Havent heard back from them yet. They were in business for 5+ years when we built with them. Not 100% sure if they are still in business.

Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Good idea. I’m going to disconnect that wire from the wire nut to see if I can tell what light fixture it is coming from. As for the rust, yes there is some rust there. Not severe, but noticeable. Never seemed to be an issue over the last 3 years. Pool was completed in spring of 2022.

Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Thanks for the reply’s. Here are a few other pictures. I’d say the junction box is slightly higher with the spa water level. Hard to judge since they are so far away.

Leak from light conduit. (Junction box is 12” higher)

Notice a small trickle of water today coming from the pool light junction box today. Looks like I’ve already lost a few inches of water over the past few days. The junction box is 14-18” above the pool level. Trying to figure out why/how this happened and what I can do to stop it. Searched...

Thanks for the feedback. Might visit with my pool builder about a potential claim and get their thoughts.

    Discolored sections on pool floor

Curious to see what y’all’s thought are on my situation. I have noticed a few areas within my pool that are a different color/shade. Below are a few pictures I took today in DFW on an overcast day. Also, below is my latest levels. At one point, I had my pH closer to 7.4 when our temps began...

Heavy dust on bottom of pool. OCLT was good. Should I SLAM?

Ya, good point. Honestly, my main issue for doing it at night was to reduce daytime run time and heatig up the pool. Then that continued on into the winter to reduce freezing issues in Dec-Feb. Might be worth running it for a few hours during mid day. As for CYA, I think I added enough to get...

Heavy dust on bottom of pool. OCLT was good. Should I SLAM?

Pump run time: 4am-9am: 5 hours. Prefer to run at night to help keep the pool cooler in summer months. 5pm-7pm: 2 hours. 7 hours total. SWG good catch, not sure why I had that one linked in my signature. Mine is TCELL940. For 40k gal pools As of last Friday.... FC = 5 CC pH = 7.4 TA = 60 CH...

Heavy dust on bottom of pool. OCLT was good. Should I SLAM?

Yup, some bad weather here lately. Think this issue has just been festering for some time and now its worth addressing. Interesting, never knew that had ultra fine filters for the robot. I was actually thing about rigging something up with a hair net on the inside! But these might be worth...

Heavy dust on bottom of pool. OCLT was good. Should I SLAM?

Howdy everyone. Looking for some feedback or input here. Over the past few months, I have noticed an increase in dust/pollen/stuff at the bottom of my pool. I've tried different things to remove it, but no luck. When I run my robot (Nautilus Dolphin s200) and check the filter after it...

    Freeze protection on Secondary pump?

My Hayward pump connected to my pool/spa seems to be running just fine in our freezing temps here in Texas today. I noticed some ice building up inside my secondary pump that runs my waterfalls. Then it occurred to me, maybe the Omni freeze protection mode only works with the primary pool pump...

New Pool had to be resprayed. Discoloration help

Interesting to read that this would be acceptable. I feel like they were willing to redo my entire pool over less discoloration the first go round. Now, this time it looks worse. Oddly enough, this same plaster company did a neighbors pool 5 houses down a few weeks ago. Different PB. They also...

New Pool had to be resprayed. Discoloration help

Thanks for the info. I’ll have to read all through that. Is there any “easy” fix? Or do I need to fight this with my PB?

New Pool had to be resprayed. Discoloration help

Wanted to share some pictures with everyone and see if anyone can point me in the right direction. Pool was completed in July. Had many areas of inconsistent exposed pebble on our pebble tech finish. The pebble tech rep came out with the plaster company and inspected everything. The plaster...

How often and how much chlorine do y’all have to add to SWG pool?

Sorry..misspoke. Yes, I have learned about SWG and how they work and how much everyone here raves about them. That’s why I had one installed. Just wasn’t sure why my FC was so low. Pump runs from 12am-8am. I’ll change it tonight to run from 10pm-8am. Making run time 12 hours and change the %...
