    Needle valve for the Liquidator

It cheaper too, both for the push on and barbed versions, even if you include shipping. Also from my experience, push on connections do not work well on the suction side (output) of the Liquidator.

    Dolphin s vs active

There is no difference outside of color. In fact the S200, Active 20, Dolphin T35, Dolphin Triton PS, and the Dolphin Discovery are all the same cleaner just differing in color. Check the Maytronics website and compare the five models. The primary reason for multiple models is that the are...

    Century VLink

Its been working fine for me over the last few weeks. I did have a weird error message on April 13. Sent a screenshot to Century, but no reply. The error did clear the next morning and I haven't seen a problem since. Last season on occasion i did have some issues with their server, but it...

    Planning to add CircuPool RJ-60Plus

I use this current sensing device, (CR4395-EH-120-110-X-CD-ELR-I). It senses current on one of the pump's 220v lines and switches 120V to my SWCG. When the pump isn't turning there is no power to the SWCG. Current trip point is adjustable. If you don't have 120 available there is a version that...

    SWG Safety

The predominate failure mode of the flow switch results in no chlorine production. Adding a second flow switch doubles this false positive (no cl generation) failure rate while providing minimal improvement is safety.

Home Depot carries a SWG? Who knew?

From this page it looks like Home Depot offers both Hayward and Pentair knockoffs is several sizes all called Xtremepower. Looking at the 40K version of the Hayward knockoff it says that it produces 2.15.lbs per day which is roughly the same as the Circupool Universal40 (2 lbs/day). Discount...

Home Depot carries a SWG? Who knew?

Looks to be a Hayward Aqua Rite knock off. Similar to the Inyo Crystal Pure and Blue Works. I'm going into my second season with a Crystal Pure. I had no problems with it last year and so far I am happy with it. I don't think getting a replacement cell will be a problem, but hopefully I...

    Help users find Liquid Chlorine

Just added this: Enfield CT Austin Pooltech Shock 12.5 % $2.99 / gallon Date code is 20075 (March 15, 2020) Same price as last year, stock seems to be at the normal level for this time of the year around here. However the map marker is nowhere near Enfield CT.

    Trouble with FC levels/SWG

Have you confirmed that the SWCG is running for the 10.5 hrs per day? Is the pump speed settings keeping the flow at a level that keeps the flow switch closed during those 10.5 hrs?

Does a SWG cause bubbles from the returns?

Yes they do. That is one way that i can tell that my SWCG is working.

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

I replace mine last year (May of 2018) at around $3500 to $4000. Doesn't include water, but did include the foam, minor repairs to the vermiculite and steal walls along with new faceplates for the skimmers, return jet and main drain covers. Give Juliano's a call, not sure if they cover the...

    Variable speed, cost savings/ filtration?

I ran a Liquidator for six years and was happy with it but I can tell you that it's not going to work with a VS pump running at low speed. I suggest that you go directly to the SWCG. I changed over to a SWCG and VS pump this year and now wondering why it took be so long to switch. Regarding...

    Variable speed, cost savings/ filtration?

I agree with your first sentence, but not your second. It is going to take the same amount of horsepower to move the same flow through the same plumbing system, no matter the rpm. Same horsepower, same electricity.

    Testing my chlorine percentage

Assuming that the 0.1ml sample that you added to the 1000 ml of distilled water was 100% chlorine, then yes it would be 100 ppm. Assuming that chlorine sample was 10% chlorine then it would be 10 ppm. So the instructions are correct and something else is wrong. Maybe you added 1ml of the...

    Experimenting...

You are correct. The 25 drops that you site is based on the specific dropper bottles that Taylor uses. In general the common reference to drop size is 0.5mL per drop making it 20 drops per mL. So if I was doing this experiment I would assume 20 drops per mL, and make adjustments from there.
