Essentially if the plumbing after the union is threaded it's the same thing is it not? Thats what I was originally planning, I do like the Union ball valve idea better though so will be going with that!

Those valves are pretty neat! I just watched a video on how to rebuild them, no different than fire pump valves which I've done too many to count lol!

Seeing all these valves online does it matter if they are CPVC and I'm using sch40 PVC? I thought you couldn't do that? Or you just need to use the Oaty All Purpose Cement or the Orange Stuff?

I believe it! I had no complaints on the $200 lol, I’m doing enough work and I really wanted to be hands free in regard to the actuall pool install. Moving dirt, running plumbing, and electrical are enough for me in this project!

Glad you mentioned this! not included in the install. Luckily with the hole being dug a few days before install I can treat it myself 👍🏼👍🏼
